At the beginning of my styling career I used blogging as a way to stay connected with pr companies and create relationships with brands. I also blogged as a means to share my work wth family and help them understand what styling is (tbh, I’m still not sure of my parents understand what I do for a living). I used Blogspot as my platform but it no longer seems to work for me. But I thankfully still have access to my entries and so I’ve moved them all here. It may not as easy to navigate but I like that I have this space again to share.

APRIL 30, 2008 | ROSANNA RIVERSO PROJECT, photo shoot
today i had a shoot with matt baxter for rosanna riverso’s promotional pics and cd cover (which of course just had to be the same sunday ttc has a strike).
i was a little nervous about having a camera taping the shoot. oh that’s right, i forgot to mention that at this shoot inside fashion was there to capture the whole event. no pressure, right? except for the fact that as soon as i rolled into the studio, the cameraman (claudio) was on me, sweat on my forehead and all. and the camera was still on me as i fumbled with the heavy garment bags in unsuccessful attempts to neatly hang them on the rolling rack.
then came the on camera interview, but there was no pressure with this one. john (the host & producer) was cool, laid back and funny, so it ended up being quite painless. my only concern was the fact that my hair wasn’t looking as nice as it could because it wasn’t dry. yeah i know it sounds vain, but my hair air dries which takes a long time, so until then i run the risk of looking like a bit of a mess. i’m allowed to be concerened; it was my tv debut not to mention that when rosanna’s cd is released, this segment will air on city tv and global. i just hope they do some editing.
the shoot went well and the pictures looked so great that i do not envy being rosanna in deciding which one to use for her cd cover; matt was that good behind the lense, jordanna and melissa did that great with her hair makeup (respectively), all the outfits looked great on her and she photographed well!
but since no candid behind-the-scenes shots were taken for this shoot, i’m afraid there will be no previews. like me, you’ll just have to wait >_<
